- Think of a product you would like to create (something new) or a new feature you would like to add to an existing product
- Consider your audience/ the target market. Think of their needs, likes, and preferences
- Write (type) a 1 paragraph persuasive ad/proposal that briefly introduces your new product or feature and advocates/emphasizes the advantages your new creation/invention has that will surely be of the buyers' interest.
- USE YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF RHETORIC!
- Think of the 3 rhetorical appeals: how you should present your product as a creator in the proposal (ethos), what advantages the buyers will get (pathos), why would they prefer your product, is it realistic (logos).
- Think of decorum: the art of appropriate (language you choose to address your buyers, color/shape of the product that they may prefer, the name of the product and the product itself should not be beyond their expectations).
- Think of the 3 qualities of persuasive ethos (cause, craft, caring): your paragraph should show that you share the values of your buyers, you have the craft to make this product a reality, and that it will benefit them (and not you), it is for them to make their life easier of fun, or more interesting, or..... whatever your product is meant for).
